This large iconic project was undertaken in the spirit of partnership between Sky City, Auckland Council, Boffa Miskell, Jawa and JFC.
The project comprised the complete demolition of the existing street and main entrances to all of the restaurants and hotels, Sky Tower and casino as well as the service entrances.
Underground services were upgraded and future proofed extensive waterproofing and high specification paving was laid. New street furniture, lighting and a green wall were installed.
One of Auckland’s most discerning stakeholders, the Sky Tower hosts more than 1,150 visitors per day, plus thousands more to the casino and surrounding restaurants and cafes. We completed the project while enabling the Sky Tower, SkyCity and all other businesses to continue their operations as normal. This is evidenced by our team programming their works to enable community events like the “Fire-fighter Sky Tower stair climb” to continue as normal.
