This project, a true success story in the re-build of the city, was carried out as a JFC and City Care Joint Venture for the construction of one of CERA’s (Otakaro) key Anchor Projects. We constructed a new playground, a punt stop in the Avon River, Armagh Street, a car parking area, remediated the contaminated site (asbestos) and delivered the project to a very tight time frame.
Meeting the programme was critical to this project – we completed the $16.3m work in time for the public opening by The Earthquake Recovery Minister, the Hon. Gerry Brownlee in December 2015.
Our team based on site worked closely with CERA and other key stakeholders to assist wholeheartedly in the project, assisting in the design of the work and taking over the management of portions of the work.
