Ōtāhuhu Town Centre Upgrade
Ōtāhuhu Town Centre is a vibrant community. A key retail and transport hub, Ōtāhuhu supports high volumes of pedestrians, cyclists, public transport users, delivery vehicles, and through traffic. The project aimed to improve safety, accessibility, and public amenity while revitalising the local streetscape. One of Auckland’s oldest suburbs, it features complex underground conditions with densely packed legacy services, adding significant technical challenges to the delivery of public infrastructure upgrades. The project required careful planning and execution within a live environment to minimise disruption while upgrading the town centre.
