JFC were chosen to develop the Park Avenue site into 28 lots with full infrastructure. The site was an infill subdivision on steep terrain in Birkenhead, which provided several challenges. In addition to the terrain, the site was bisected through the middle with a watercourse and various protected flora. Part of the site works were satellite to the main site, which involved access constraints of a narrow residential road. Careful staging of the build was required to ensure logistic al access to the work faces and maintaining the natural environment.
The earthworks involved detailed staging due to the required fill being obtained mainly from civil infrastructure work. Fill placement was meticulously planned to ensure access to on-going work fronts. The earthworks progressed successfully through a wet winter and involved maintaining environmental controls for the monthly WEA process.
