JFC upgraded the existing 150mm cast iron water main to a new 335 PE main, increasing the flows to the Christchurch City Central Hospital. Six connections off this main were connected to the existing hospital network.
We ensured the hospital had emergency waterflow at all times by splitting their connections to occur on different days.
Taking into account the traffic requirements of the hospital, works were undertaken at night with our asphalt team to seal open trenches every morning before the morning traffic rush.
