Stage Two of the Wānaka Lakefront Development Plan ran from McDougall Street to Dungarvon Street, and featured a shared pathway running along the lakefront, connecting Mt Aspiring Road Carpark with Wānaka’s town centre.
JFC’s scope encompassed a 600m stretch of the Lake Wanaka waterfront parallel to Ardmore Street, and saw the implementation of:
A shared pathway running along the lakefront 114 new car parking spaces added along the lakeside of Ardmore Street
Natural shared spaces with low-lying native planting and trees
Of note was the construction of a new proprietary in-ground stormwater treatment system, involving extensive temporary works in challenging weather conditions.
